The FOL1553-F/-L is modular and scalable design supporting up to 6 dual redundant MIL-STD-1553 bus stubs, with a choice of the EMC protected front end units or a dedicated 19" rack mount unit.
System interconnection is via optical links: COTS 62.5/125μm multimode index fibre optic cables with ST connectors (wavelength 1300nm). The system is easy to install and requires no software!
